Jealousy = love?

My boyfriend says that he wouldn't get jealous if I wasn't so hot. And that if he didn't get jealous it would mean he didn't really love me. But he gets mad whenever I talk to any other guy, which is getting annoying. |

In this context, jealousy is not interlinked with love. There are plenty of nice guys who will grow to love you, without being overly jealous. If the jealousy is becoming too controlling - get out! Jealousy often progresses to being controlling over the people you hang out with - including friends or family. |

Jealousy DOES NOT constitute love. If he truly loved you he would allow you to have other friendships with other males & jealousy would not be an issue. I think that his jealousy may be only emotional at this point but could turn into something more sinister & harmful. If it persists it's not a healthy relationship so you should LEAVE. |
