Double standard rumors

At my school there are rumors spread about a girl who is sexually active. The rumors make her out to be slutty when she really hasn't had a lot of partners. |

I think that it's best to not participate in the rumors being spread. That way you are not helping to further create a problem. I also think that you should offer her kind words instead of reproaching her and making her feel like less of a person. Let her know that you can be trusted to confide in her. If the problem progresses get her help as these situations tend to get worse hurting the person the rumor is spread about. |

I would agree with smiles23 - I couldn't have said it better. Just let her know that if she knows she's not a slut, that being the most important thing. |

That is such double standard bs. No one would call a guy who has been sexually active with just a few partners a slut. |
